Mayor - Kadir Topbas

Kair Topbas is the 31st Mayor of Istanbul and is born on the 8th of Janurary, 1945. he is currently aged 70 and has 2 sons and a daughter. Kadir Topbas is a turkish architect, business man, politician. and was the owner of a Turkish cuisine restaurant chain. He later became mayor and has been since March 2004. He is now coming up to his 11th year as mayor and is part of the Justice and politcal party (AKP).

Governmnet solutions

Although there are many problems within Istanbul, the government is trying to solve these problems. Some ways in which they are doing this is by improving the transportation systems to make better and more complex networks. Another soloution that has been substantially improved on includes the telecommunication services around the city.

Schools are also known to hold innovation competitions which is a great way to introduce students into real life problems. Also, in the future, the Government plans to expand into Europe, hopefully expanding the city further east and more northwards.
