Jakarta

The second era was called the colonial era and during this time, the alliance between the Dutch and Prince Jayawikarta slowly disappeared. Because of this Prince Jayawikarta sent his army (along with the English) to fight the Dutch, but lost. Now that the Dutch owned Jayakarta they renamed it Batavia.

 

Because the Dutch was able to spread word about  there victory quickly, Indonesia attracted many new immigrants. This then put stress on the city so they had to stop letting people in to the country.
